Blitzworks software requires a minimum screen resolution of at least
640 x 480 on Macintosh and 800 x 600 on Windows. You can change
your screen resolution easilly following the instructions below.

your computer slightly smaller. The good part about this is you

the Internet.

1. Right-click an empty area of the desktop and choose Properties

in the screen area (desktop area in Windows 95).

Note: Restart modelPro or hair&makeupPro and you should
see the entire toolbar. If you still do not see the entire toolbar
and your monitor is at least 14" please contact us at techsupport@blitzworks.com
or call 866 422-2109
In Mac OS:
1. From the Apple Menu select Control Panels > Monitors.
2. Highlight 640x480 (800 x 600 recommended) in the Resolution box.
3. Close the window by selecting Close Window from the File Menu
or by clicking in the box in the upper left corner of the Monitors

Bookings & Payments
When jobs, expenses, and/or buyouts don't show up in a new payment:
The most likely cause of this is the agency in the original booking is different that the agency you selected in the New Payment. Only jobs, expenses, and buyouts for the agency you select in the first tab in a New Payment are displayed in the Select Tabs. Go to the original booking and see which agency you selected for that booking.

When you are having problems editing a booking.
You may have problems editing a booking if you try to edit a paid booking or you try to edit a booking at the same time as creating a New Payment:
If the amount you want to edit is paid already you must first go to the payment that the amount was paid on, deselect the amount, re-enter a new Total Amount Paid in the Deductions/Finish tab of the payment, click Save to Save the payment and close the payment window. Now you can edit that amount in the booking.
If you are creating a New Payment and realize that part of the original booking is incorrect then either:
1. Save the New Payment at the stage you are at (provided you haven't selected an amount you will be editing), close the New Payment window by clicking Save and then go to the Booking to edit it. Once you have edited the Booking, click Save to save the booking and close the booking window. Now you can go back to the payment.
2. Deselect any jobs, expenses or buyouts and Cancel or Delete the payment. Go back and edit the booking, and then create a New Payment again.
Important: An edited booking will not show up in a New Payment if you edit a booking while the New Payment window is open.

Handling Partial Payments from Agencies.
Sometimes you may not get the total amount you are due for a job. For example, some agencies hold a percentage of a foreign booking until the client pays them. Because you were not paid for the entire job you need to create a correction in the payment, this way you will still see that part of the job is unpaid.
To Enter a Correction:
1. Go to the Select Jobs Tab of the New Payment window, and then select the job to add the correction to.
2. Click the Correction Icon and select Attach Correction from the correction pop-up menu.
3. In the new window, select the Type of Correction and enter the amount in the amount field. Make sure to select either the Net or Gross radio button. Net = after commission; Gross = before commission.
4. Click Save. The correction will be entered in the upper section of the Select Jobs window and the amount will be offset so the payment agrees with your agency.
When you receive the rest of the money your agency held you will need to balance the correction.
To balance a correction
1. Create a new payment by clicking the New Payment button in the Payments window, and then enter the payment details.
2. Click on the Select Jobs Tab, and then click on the Corrections Button and slect Balance Correction. by clicking the Select Jobs Tab or by clicking the Next button.
3. In the new window, click on the correction you would like to balance, and then click Select. The amount you are still due is automatically entered in the lower right corner. If this is the correct amount, click Balance and go to step 4. If you were paid less than this, enter the amount you were paid, either gross or net, in the corresponding field and click on the Calculate button.
4. Continue with the payment just like you would a normal payment.

Handling Bankruptcy.
When a client goes bankrupt and your agency deducts money from one of your payments you need to enter the amount in the payment so it will offset your taxable income for that year. When you receive a settlement from the bankrupt client it will be considered income so you need to enter this in a payment also. You handle both of these situations in modelPro or hair&makeupPro by adding an adjustment.
To add an adjustment
1. When you click Done on the payment, if there is an amount besides zero in the "difference" field a new window will open. The radio button Create adjustment to balance payment should already be selected, if not, select it.
2. Enter the commission percentage in the commission field, and then enter the date of the adjustment in the Date field.
3. Enter a description in the Description field(i.e. bankruptcy settlement).
4. Click Save, and then click Done to complete the payment.
